Alex Zequeira
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Alex Zequeira joined the CBS 12 team in September of 2007. He came from Dothan, Alabama where he covered everything from local politics, tornadoes, and even a foreign documentary on a medical mission team that lent assistance to a poor group of Indians in Panama. During his time in Dothan, Alex won four Associated Press awards including Best Reporter and Best Investigative Reporting. He also won an Alabama Broadcasters Association award for his documentary on the Panama Mission. It was an experience that changed my life personally and professionally, he said. Before going to Dothan, Alex worked as an associate producer for NBC 6 in Miami, FL. There he covered local, state and national politics, and gained experience covering numerous hurricanes. A graduate of the University of Miami, Alex has a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and another in Political Science. Alex who is a Miami native, is excited to be back in South Florida doing what he loves the most, telling interesting stories that can enlighten those who watch them. During his free time he enjoys exercising, fishing, diving, and traveling.
