Parents warned about baby slings
March 10, 2010 2:51 PM
The government is expected to issue a warning about risks posed by baby slings.
A baby safety instructor says he's always been skeptical of the baby sling because of the position it holds the baby. That same expert says if the baby's breathing ability is restricted, it's hard to see.
The consumer product safety commission says some babies can suffocate. And at least a few have.
The warning is not targeted toward a specific baby sling, it's designed to alert parents.
