Delray Beach DMV to close

DELRAY BEACH -
The Delray Beach DMV will be closing its doors next year. Officials say the decision to close the location is purely financial. The lease expires in June 2010. No one will be laid off, all the employees and equipment will be transferred to other locations. This is the same DMV that came under fire earlier this year when a number of people were arrested for a drivers license scam to give illegal immigrants licenses. Officials tells us the decision to close has nothing to do with that controversy.
