Eric Roby
Eric Roby joined the CBS12 team in December 2001. He anchors the 7 PM news on WPEC CBS 12.
Eric came to Florida from Davenport, Iowa, where he was weekend anchor at WQAD, an ABC affiliate, for two and a half years. Before heading west, Eric was an anchor/reporter in Salisbury, Md., at WBOC, a CBS affiliate.
He grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where most of his family still lives. Eric is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C. While attending classes Eric became the general manager of the campus TV station. He was also a freelance producer on Capitol Hill for Washington News Network, a news cooperative service. Eric also spent time overseas working as a production assistant for NBC in London.
Over the years Eric has earned numerous awards for his investigations and breaking news coverage.
