First Free H1N1 Vaccines in St. Lucie County
Comments 0 | Recommend 0FORT PIERCE -- The first free H1N1 vaccinations will be offered at the St. Lucie County Operations Center for people most at risk to suffer serious complications from the virus.
Shot-only vaccinations will happen Saturday, October 24 and Saturday, November 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3855 S. U.S. Highway 1, between Weatherbee and Farmer's Market Roads. Other sites will be announced as more vaccine becomes available.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention list the following people as priority groups.
· pregnant women
· people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
· health care and emergency medical services personnel
· persons between the ages of 6 months through 24 years of age
· people from ages 25 through 64 years who are at higher
