Police say body found is missing father of two

PORT ST. LUCIE --A body found Sunday in a drainage ditch is a father of two missing since January 12, police said.

Nick Halliday, of Port St. Lucie, left his home in the middle of the night wearing a think sweatshirt and boxer shorts.

His body was discovered badly decomposed, and might have been submerged in water. There are no obvious signs of trauma and the exact cause of death is pending a medical examiner's report.

Halliday's wife, Teresa, said at the time of his disappearance he was trying to stop drinking, and that he suffers from Lupus.

Teresa launched a Facebook and media campaign to find her husband, hoping someone had seen him in the weeks since he left the couple's bed and went missing.
