Okeechobee County woman found murdered
On July 28, 2009 at about 7:41 PM, Deputies from the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office responded to 2791 NE 11th Court in the Pine Ridge Park Subdivision of Okeechobee County in reference to a deceased body. On arrival officers met with family members of the victim (Son and daughter-in-law). They reported coming to the home to see the victim and finding her decease within her own home.
The victim is identified as:

Preliminary examination by the officers and crime scene has determined the death was most likely the result of a homicide. The nature of the injury appears to be from a sharp instrument. (No further information on the injuries will be released pending the result of an autopsy.) The possible motive for the crime is not being released at this time. The scene was turned over to Sheriff Office Detectives and Criminalists
As the crime scene was processed by criminalist, members of the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division developed leads from a neighborhood canvas. Several leads and persons of interests were discovered. Currently interviews are ongoing with these persons of interest.
