New Fort Pierce Skate Park
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Treasure Coast kids now have a new place to drop their wheels. The Lawnwood Skate Park officially opened this week in Fort Pierce. Kids of all ages can skateboard daily from 8:00 a.m until dusk. This new addition getting a big thumbs up from skaters like Mike Oliver, "I like having a skate park in Fort Pierce because we don't have to travel all the way to Jensen Beach to go to one of the parks. This park is better than all the other parks I've been to so far."
There are a few rules: All skateboarders must wear a helmet and a shirt at all times. You must also have a "skate card" to enter the park and a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. You can register for one at the St. Lucie County Sports and Athletics Office.
On Saturday you can compete in the Best Trick Contest and watch stunts performed by professional boarders.
