Plane crashes near Alligator Alley

Authorites believe at least one person is dead after a plane crashes in the Florida Everglades early Sunday evening.  It happened right by Alligator Alley, which is I-75, between mile markers 40 and 41.  We are hearing one person was on board the fixed wing single-engine plane.  That person is suspected to be dead.  The plane is registered to a "Velazquez Edmundo" out of Oviedo in Central Florida.  We will continue following this breaking news story and bring you any new developments as we get them.
