4 Local Players selected in MLB Draft
Three local high school and one Lynn University player were selected in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft on Wednesday.
Trinity Christian Pitcher Jacob Johnson was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the eleventh round with the 329th overall pick.
West Boca Raton outfielder Chase Greene was a 16th round pick of the New York Mets and South Fork infielder Nick Zaharion went to the Kansas City Royals in the 29th Round.
Lynn University outfielder Gabe MacDougall was selected by the Kansas City Royals as the 11th pick of the 27thround. MacDougall becomes the second-highest drafted baseball player in school history.
