Holly the dog debut at Adoptathon
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A few weeks ago a six month old puppy named Holly was dragged behing a truck for two miles after jumping from the back of a moving truck in Port St. Lucie. Her serious injuries required numerous surgeries mostly paid for with community donations, and then extensive physical therapy with a caring foster family.
Now Holly is doing great and recovering from the traumatic experience. This Sunday, February 7th, she will join animals from every rescue shelter and organization in Martin and St Lucie counties at the Friends Furever Adoptathon at Flagler Park in Stuart. The event is designed to encourage people to make responsible adoptions and help manage the growing number of homeless dogs and cats.
And for those who have already made furry additions to their families there will be a $500 cash prize to the winner of the Pet Photo Contest. Second and third place winners will recieve gift baskets, and all placing photos will be exhibited at the Mark Fine Art Gallery February 8th-15th.
