Crooks Smash ATM at Bank

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

West Palm Beach Police are searching for a crook or crooks who came to a bank, after hours, and made quite a withdrawal.
They showed up at a Washington Mutual on Northlake Boulevard Thursday at 3:30 in the morning driving a front-end loader.
Surveillance cameras at the bank show the incident in startling detail.  The front-end loader comes into view, going through the drive-thru lane, smashing an ATM machine.
After ramming the ATM and knocking it to the ground, video shows the front-end loader picking up a safe that was housed inside the ATM.
Using the front-end loader's bucket, the thief picks up the safe and hauls it away.
The video shows the front-end loader backing up and then going forward, vanishing into the night with the crumpled ATM on the ground.
Police were summoned to the bank, after the incident triggered a silent alarm.
They say the front-end loader was stolen in Wellington, and was abandoned near the bank after the crime.
Detectives figure the culprits loaded the safe into a truck that was parked out of view of the bank surveillance cameras.
