Funeral for Billy Mays

Associated Press

Television product pitchman Billy Mays  was remembered as a pop culture icon at his funeral at a church in McKees Rocks, the tiny suburb where he was born and raised just down the Ohio River from Pittsburgh.  Dean Panizzi remembered his cousin and lifelong friend as the man who "sold more OxiClean than Andy Warhol sold Campbell's Soup." The 50-year-old television personality was found dead at his home in Tampa, Fla. on June 28. A medical examiner says Mays likely died of a heart attack, though test results to confirm that are pending.  Mays shot commercials until a few days before his death. Known for his jet black hair and beard, Mays developed his yell-and-sell technique hawking products on Atlantic City's Boardwalk in 1983.
