College student drowns on spring break trip
A day of spring break fun ends in tragedy. Tonight, we learn it was an NYU student who drowned in Jupiter, while another was saved by a good samaritan. Grandparents Kathy and Ed Sjonell saw a young life end in the ocean right in front of them. Days of rain left the beach pretty deserted yesterday. It was just them onshore., and four college students out in the ocean, but something didn't seem right. The group started struggling shortly after 6 oclock yesterday evening according to the Palm Beach county sheriff's office. The two girls made it in, but according to witnesses two guys didn't and needed to be rescued.
"Horrible just horrible, I've never seen anything first hand like that and it was scary," said witness Kathy Sjonell.
In the end.. 21-year-old Shresth Dugar made it out alive, but his friend and NYU classmate Michael Finney died.
