Meal Deals: watch out for sale signs

There are few things prettier in a grocery store than a big sign advertising a good sale. Before you get caught up in your meal deal enthusiasm, you have to stay level headed. Many of those signs say you have to buy two, four or sometimes even ten to get the deal. For the vast majority of sales that's not true. If you buy just one you will still get the same discount on individual items. Stores just try to get you to buy more by simply suggesting how many you should buy. Here's the tough part! If it's truly a great deal then it might be good to buy extra anyway to stock up and save.
