DNA Links Man to Sexual Battery Case

How was the case solved five years later?
During a routine search of the State of Florida's Convicted Offender Database, a match occurred between the DNA from a sexual battery case in 2003 and convicted offender Alfredo Hernandez. Hernandez is presently incarcerated in the Florida Department of Corrections. Hernandez is currently serving time within the Madison Correctional Facility for a similar case in which Jupiter Police Department arrested him and obtained his DNA.
After almost five years, this case was solved through the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) hit. A warrant has been issued for Alfredo Hernandez and he will continue to be detained to stand trial for this 2003 incident.
