Meal Deals: Who Sells the Cheapest Meat
Comments 0 | Recommend 0You probably have a favorite grocery store, but is your store offering the best meal deals?
I went to Publix, Winn Dixie and Wal Mart to find out who is the cheapest. I visited them on the same day and all in my neighborhood. I found the best deals on items from a shopping list. All this week I'm giving you the results. Today we head to the meat counter.
First up is the meat staple ground beef. At Publix it was on sale for $2.99 a pound. It's a great deal. At Winn Dixie the prices are much higher at $4.39 a pound. Wal Mart came in at $3.89.
Moving on to pork chops, Publix offered them for $5.39 a pound. Winn Dixie is the winner this time with just $4.99 a pound. Wal Mart had them for $5.18.
Chicken was priced at $3.99 at Publix. It was $4.04 at Winn Dixie and Wal Mart wins with a deal of just $3.49 a pound.
Salmon at Publix was at $7.99. Winn Dixie once again has a good deal at $5.99. Wal Mart was at $6.98. Add up our shopping trip and Publix came in at $20.36. Winn Dixie's total bill was $19.41. Wal Mart was close behind at $19.54. The winner of the meat meal deals is Winn Dixie.
Just a reminder, all of those prices were from one day. Any given day those prices can change especially with sales. That means Publix or Wal Mart could be the cheapest with certain items. Tomorrow we will check out the dairy aisle.
