Autism and Childhood Vaccines

Attorney Chris Searcy lives with it every day.

"Back in the 1970s, my oldest child, who's now 34 years old, was diagnosed with autism."

It was a shocking diagnosis at that time.

"The statistics were 1 in 10,000 children were diagnosed as being autistic. Today, 1 in 150 children are being diagnosed as autistic," says Searcy.

Many parents blame that rise in cases on vaccines.  More specifically, the mercury preservative found Thimerosal in them.

Searcy says, "That's been eliminated several years ago with some helpful affect." But based on cases he's handled, Searcy actually blames other factors.  Factors you may overlook, like your child's health.

"Most all of the children I ever represented that got neurologically injured from a vaccination had had a little cold or fever or something," says Searcy.

And the number of shots.

"Your child goes in, he might have the sniffles, and they give him three or four vaccinations in one day," says Searcy. "Highly risky. Most pediatricians don't even know that."

But the federal government does know.

"There were enough children being injured that Congress gave immunity to the manufacturers of vaccines and started compensation programs."

That's a fact most of us don't even know, something Searcy says is based on fear.

"If we tell everybody about this they won't get vaccinated and then that might be a public health risk."

A health risk Searcy claims could be averted, if the government simply told us the whole truth.

"Because they've taken the policy of 'We're going to suppress that information,' they can't teach the public."
