NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Wal-Mart says Tracy Morgan is partially to blame for the injuries he suffered when his limousine bus was slammed into from behind by one of the retailer's tractor-trailers back in June. Wal-Mart says the injuries to those in Morgan's vehicle were caused by the passengers' "failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device." The company calls that "unreasonable conduct." The Wal-Mart statements are in documents in response to a lawsuit filed by Morgan in July. An attorney representing Morgan and the other plaintiffs hasn't responded to the Wal-Mart filing. Authorities have said that the Georgia truck driver hadn't slept for more than 24 hours before the accident along the New Jersey Turnpike.

AP Entertainment Editor Oscar Wells Gabriel reports Wal-Mart claims Tracy Morgan bears some of the blame for his injuries.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- She says she has retired from acting. But apparently Amanda Bynes hasn't quit her continuing role as a troubled former child star. Bynes has added another to her string of arrests. Authorities in Los Angeles arrested her early Sunday morning on a DUI rap. After finding her car in the middle of an intersection, they took her in -- and found she was under the influence of some kind of drug. She's been released after posting $15,000 bail. Bynes has had a series of arrests while behind the wheel. And back in June, a judge tossed a criminal case after she was accused of tossing a bong out of her 36th-floor apartment in New York City. Bynes' last film credit was in 2010.

AP Entertainment Editor Oscar Wells Gabriel reports this isn't the first time Amanda Bynes' name has shown up on a police blotter.

DETROIT (AP) -- Ben Affleck said the time he spent in the Motor City has revved his engine for Detroit's efforts at a comeback. The actor says he has been "moved by how American industry is actually employing American workers" in Michigan. In a piece that ran in the Detroit Free Press, Affleck says he got to tour factories where cars are being built -- and was so impressed, he traded in his Japanese cars to show his support for American workers. Affleck was in Detroit filming the next Batman movie.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Ben Affleck says he was so impressed by the novel "Gone Girl," he doubted there'd ever be a movie based on it. He says when he heard about the book, there were whispers it was Hollywood bound. But Affleck says after reading the novel, he didn't think it could be converted into a movie. He says that changed when director David Fincher took on the project. Affleck stars alongside Rosamund Pike in the film, which opens nationwide Friday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- It was perfection times two on "Dancing With the Stars" last night. Janel Parrish got the first round of perfect 10s of the season with her jazz routine. A few minutes later Bethany Mota got another round of perfect scores. So, both are tied at the top of the judges' leaderboard. D-W-T-S is now back to its once a week schedule. That means the performances and the elimination are on the same night. Professional fighter Randy Couture was the star to get the bad news last night. But he says he's glad to have done something challenging and had a good time doing it.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- It's something we often hear on reality shows. Wanna-be contestants are told to keep at it and come back again. Well, it happened on "The Voice" last night. Anita Antoinette didn't get a single chair to turn during the blind auditions of Season 3. But last night, she had all four coaches wanting her. She decided to go with Team Gwen. Tonight, the blind auditions continue.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- It's usually the kind of secret families keep until the grave -- and even beyond. But Jane Fonda says she is telling something of her personal life in an effort to help others. She says her mother had been sexually abused as a child -- and eventually committed suicide at age 42. Speaking to a fundraiser for the Rape Foundation this past Sunday, Fonda said once she realized what happened to her mom, she could understand more about the way she lived and died. Fonda says sexual violence against women is "epidemic" -- and says she will always support places like the Rape Treatment Center.

LEWISTON, Maine (AP) -- Patrick Dempsey's latest effort to fight cancer has paid off -- in the form of more than $1.1 million for care and support for those who have the disease. Nearly 3,900 people took part in the 6th Annual Dempsey Challenge, organized in honor of the actor's mother, who died in March. Dempsey was one of about 1,000 who took part in cycling events Sunday in Maine. Other participants raised money by walking or running.
