Two men arrested to up to 12 years in prison for smuggling cocaine into Florida

WEST PALM BEACH -A man and his partner were sentenced to 12 and 9 years in prison for smuggling cocaine in the United States from the Bahamas.

Mark Pinder, 41, was sentenced to 12 years and Parson Exana, 38, was sentenced to nine years, in federal prison.

On May 25, investigators conducted an under cover drug sting on the high seas -- buying 297 kilograms of cocaine from Pinder in a vessel to vessel transfer. The cocaine was subsequently transported to Palm Beach County. On May 26, law enforcement agents and officers conducted a controlled delivery of the 297 kilograms of cocaine to Pinder and Exana, in Jupiter.

Pinder and Exana were arrested in Jupiter at that time.
