Another huge foreclosure case in Palm Beach County. This time we're talking about Downtown at the Gardens, the open air mall next to the Gardens mall.

A lender filed the foreclosure suit last week against Downtown at the Gardens Associates.

It was filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. According to our partners at the Palm Beach Post, it is a $138 million dollar suit.

You may know that the complex is a mix of stores, restaurants, as well as a movie theater. There are now quite a few empty stores when you walk around.

Some retailers here say they have seen stores come and go, such as Starbucks and The Grape Restaurant, to name a few.

and they add that it has been pretty dead at the shopping center.

Although some tenants say because of the time of year, they were anticipating a slow down, but they add this is still not what they were expecting.

Employees we spoke with say they're not sure what comes next.

"I have questions, you know, how long we're going to be here for, just cause of how slow business is, but we haven't really discussed anything yet," said a store employee, Matt Maples.

Right now it's unclear how or if these business will be impacted by the foreclosure filing.

We did put in a call to Miller Capital Advisory, who according to property managers, own this property.

We have not heard back yet from anyone.
