Joyride Case to be Featured on Judge Judy Show
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A little boy from Riviera Beach who took his grandmother's SUV and went on a joyride is going on national TV.
In April, seven year-old LaTarian Milton took his grandmother's keys, drove off in her SUV and hit several cars. He caused several thousand dollars in damage to the SUV, but he was not injured. He lives with his grandmother, who has legal custody of him.
Now his grandmother, Vikkita Stratford is suing LaTarian's mother, Ashley Milton, in small claims court in West Palm Beach.
Stratford says Ashley should've done a better job watching the little boy that day when he went on the joyride and Stratford is seeking five-thousand dollars in damages from Ashley.
That suit will form the basis for an upcoming Judge Judy episode.
"I just want to see my daughter be a better parent, more concerned about her mother. That's what I want to see," Stratford explained.
LaTarian, who will be a second grader this fall at North Palm Beach Elementary, his grandmother and his mom will all fly out to California in a few days to tape the Judge Judy show.
The marketing coordinator for the show, Henry DeLarosa, says the episode featuring LaTarian's case will air sometime during the fall season, which begins in September.
