Color A Picture To Win A Home
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Treasure Coast man gets creative to sell his house. He is holding a contest and if you color the best picture you could own a new home for only $49.
Welcome to Scott Bernard's home at 457 Columbus Street in Sebastian, FL, "There are completely new wood floors throughout the entire house."
The 1950's home is remodeled and being raffled off, "I can't get out of this situation in the traditional market because the economy is so bad." Because Scott Bernard can't seem to sell the property, "It's worth on today's market $140,000." He's started a contest. You color a picture, pay $49 dollars, and your name is in the pot, "They can do scrap-booking, they can do whatever they want. We want people to have fun and be creative."
Scott came up with this idea just a few short months ago. His home wasn't selling, "There is no other positive way that I can get out of this situation in today's market. The market is just so bad."
The idea is a gamble and he's hoping for 5,400 entrants. That many people will help pay off his mortgage and make the contest worth it for everyone even a local charity, "We have 3 winners. We have the contest winner, I win, and a charity wins. I mean it is a win, win, win all the way around."
In the end, Judges will pick the best 20. Then anyone can go online and vote.
Here are a few rules:
-The website is: www.HowToWinMyHouse.com
-Color the picture titled "Dance"
-Pay an entry fee of $49
-$2.00 of every entry will go to Lake Worth based Support Dance Inc. (Bernard's chosen charity)
-A minimum of 5,400 entrants are required for the contest to close and the house to be given away
-Winner is responsible for payment of all taxes on the winnings and other costs of home ownership
