Mom leaves special needs child locked in car to go play video games
Evylon Keys Hrusovsky, of Fort Pierce, was arrested and charged with felony child neglect after her 5-year old special needs son was left locked in a car for over an hour while she played video games at a local arcade.
According to the Arrest Affidavit, Hrusovsky told deputies she ran inside the arcade to borrow money from her sister so she could go to Walgreen's. She claimed she was only inside the arcade for a few minutes. After police pulled the video from the arcade, they saw she was inside for almost 90 minutes. Witnesses in the parking lot said they saw the child crying and screaming inside the locked SUV.
According to the Affidavit, Hrusovsky later admitted that she left her son locked inside the car, but said she checked on him twice.
