Viewing held for Jupiter man in Baltimore stabbing
JUPITER---Loved ones and friends remember a Jupiter man murdered on the streets of Baltimore.
Benjamin School grad Stephen Pitcairn was working as a researcher at Johns Hopkins University and working to become a doctor.
This week he was stabbed and mugged while talking on the phone with his mother. Police arrested John Alexander Wagner and Lavelva Merritt for the young man's murder. Those who knew Pitcairn say he was an inspiration and will be greatly missed.
Youth Pastor Chris Southard said, "He's not gone and he's still with us. He will always be with us and that's the peace that we have."
Family friend Tim Nielson said, "Every minute he was with someone, he was around them, he was constantly making sure you were happy, just doing what ever he could to engage you."
Funeral services for Stephen will be Friday morning at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach.
