Breaking News: Unattended toddler hit by a vehicle

An unattended 2-year-old was stuck by a vehicle after wandering outside of her home.

She was released from the Indian River Memorial Emergency Room after being treated for a large contusion on the left side of her face. The toddler was left alone while her father drove her mother to work, according to the Indian River Sheriff’s Department.

Lorenzo and Lizbeth Gonzales of Indian River have been arrested and charged with child neglect.
