PBSO deputy almost struck by lightning released from hospital

Palm Beach County Deputy James DeFago was released from West Boca Medical Center this morning after almost being struck by lightning when he was standing outside of his car on Glades Road and State Road 7 Thursday evening.
Officials say it was a near miss.
DeFago was alert and conscious. He was responding to a car accident at the time and other deputies at the scene took him to Boca Medical Center for treatment.
