West Palm Beach homicide arrests made
On July 2nd, 2009, Detectives of the West Palm Beach Police Dept. Homicide Unit arrested Corey L. Williams and James D. Roundtree in reference the murders of Mark and John Teal that happened in September last year. The murders took place in the 700 block of N. Flagler Drive.
Williams and Roundtree were incarcerated in the Palm Beach County jail at the time of their arrests.
The investigation of the Teals' murders revealed Williams and Roundtree were accomplices of Charles
Moss who was arrested for his involvement in the murders last October.
On September 7, the trio set out to commit armed robberies in and around the City of West Palm Beach. Prior to the Teals' murders, at about 9 p.m. that night, they approached a group of Hispanics in the 700 block of Talladega St., West Palm Beach. Believing they were going to be robbed, the Hispanic males attempted to flee. During this time, one of the Hispanic males was shot several times and later transported to Saint Mary's Medical Center.
The victim survived his injuries but is suffering from lasting effects of the shooting. At this time, Williams has been charged for his role in this shooting. Charges for Roundtree and Moss are forth coming.
Williams, Roundtree and Moss then traveled north and located the Teals who were walking along North Flagler Drive. The group then targeted the Teals for an armed robbery. It was during this robbery attempt, both Teal brothers were shot and killed.
At this time, all suspects involved in the murders of Mark and John Teal have been identified and arrested.
