Local students prepare to start filming motion picture
Comments 0 | Recommend 0PALM SPRINGS, FL-- A local high school is determined to build up the film industry in Palm Beach County.
The G-Star School of the Arts in Palm Springs says its upcoming family movie called "It's a Dog Gone Tale: Destiny's Stand" is the first step in making that dream come true. CBS 12 hit the set of the schools first motion picture production today at it all Hollywood!
"I'm learning how to act in front of the camera," said student Megan Early.
Lights, camera, action! It's the real deal as the cast and crew, take one! Today is a practice run in preparation for Monday--the first official day of production. The team of current and former students are ready for the silver screen.
"Everyone is on top of it," said actress and G-Star graduate Shay Roman.
It's all hands on. Everything that goes into making a film happens on this set.
"I want to be an actress so this has completely prepared me in every way, shape and form." said Roman.
The film is funded by the schools scholarship program making this production a dream that will soon hit the movie screen.
"This is a true professional setting--the pressure is there as it is in any test," said G-Star School of the Arts founder Greg Hauptner.
The school has hired several high profile industry professionals who will be working with students on this film that they plan to distribute when it's completed at the end of the year.
