DUI Checkpoints in Palm Beach County for Fourth of July weekend
Comments 0 | Recommend 0In a cooperative effort, the Florida Highway Patrol will be conducting two Safety and Sobriety Checkpoints within the 4100 Block of Lake Worth Road, West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Checkpoint will be on Friday, July 3, 2009 until Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
The purpose of this checkpoint is not only to detect and apprehend alcohol and drug-impaired drivers, but also to increase the public's awareness of the DUI problem, to use good judgment and moderation when planning to drive, and to encourage persons who consume an alcoholic beverage to see and chose alternate methods of transportation rather than driving themselves
Motorists are again being encouraged to call *FHP (*347) on their cellular phone to report drunk, aggressive, or other dangerous drivers. Callers can remain anonymous.
