Verizon Complaints
Comments 0 | Recommend 0TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The Attorney General says Verizon doesn't repair phone lines quickly enough.
Bill McCollum made the comment in a filing with state regulators yesterday seeking a fine against the phone giant.
McCollum joined the AARP and Florida Public Counsel J.R. Kelly, who represents the state's residents in utility cases, in asking
the Florida Public Service Commission to slap the phone company with a $6.5 million fine.
They say Verizon repeatedly last year violated rules requiring 95 percent of outages be fixed within 24 hours.
The company released a statement saying it provided "great phone service" and was investing millions of dollars in its network.
