Investigation Continues for Small Plane Crash Near Power Plant
MIAMI, FL--- Federal authorities are investigating the cause of a small plane crash near a South Florida power plant.
Authorities say both occupants were able to safely climb out of the single-engine Cessna on Wednesday.
The airplane landed in a canal near a Florida Power & Light power plant in southwest Miami-Dade county. FPL had to escort police and emergency crews to the site, because it's off-limits to the public.
The crash was reported by the Kendall-Tamiami airport's control tower. The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
