Two pedestrians killed in separate accidents
Two elderly people were struck and killed in separate accidents, police said.
In West Palm Beach, 81-year-old Mona Radowsky was walking across Okeechobee Boulevard at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a Toyota Yaris driven by Bernadette Lange, 50. Police said Radowsky walked into the path of the car. Radowsky was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
In Delray Beach, an 82-year-old man reported as a missing Alzheimer's patient died Tuesday evening when he was struck and killed by a vehicle in suburban Delray Beach, investigators said.
Charles Meyer of Delray Beach was reported missing about an hour before the accident, a sheriff's office report said.
He was walking across the intersection of Via Del Ray and South Military Trail when he was struck by a northbound 2006 Chrysler that had a green light, the report said.
