An Okeechobee family in mourning. A loved one killed by a man who police say was drunk and doesn't belong in the country. Six o'clock Saturday on Highway 441 Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say Isaias Mejia-Hernandez was drunk and slammed head-on into Gayle Turner, driving with her granddaughter Rayla and a friend. Gayle Turner's partner of 18 years, Randy Humm, says, "I don't have my girl of 18 years." Troopers say Hernandez's blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit, and he's in the country illegally. He has no drivers license, no social security card and lives and works at a dairy farm. Humm says, "We need to watch who is in our country. He shouldn't have been here. He had no driver's license, he was drunk." Humm says that driver took away his best friend. The couple had big plans for their lives. They loved little eight year-old Rayla who was in the backseat during the accident. Family friend, Kimberly Mumford, in the front seat. She is still in the hospital. Randy is now preparing for Gayle's funeral, pulling himself together for their little granddaughter, "She was our life and I am going to continue that."

Hernandez was taken to Lawnwood Medical Center for treatment. Troopers say he tried to break out several times, but finally was arrested for DUI manslaughter and a host of other charges.

Gayle's funeral is this Thursday in Fort Pierce.
