Barton Elementary School No Longer On Lockdown

LAKE WORTH, FL--- Barton Elementary School is no longer on lockdown.
After an alleged stabbing Friday morning in a nearby neighborhood, Lantana Police ordered the Barton Elementary School to go on lockdown because a suspect from a nearby stabbing was on the loose.
According to the School District, the school was in Code Red. This means no one was allowed in or out of the building.
According to Lantana Police, two roommates got into an argument. One roommate stabbed another in the shoulder area. The suspect left on foot.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody.
