Arrest Made in Tortured and Shackled Teen Case

Police have arrested the aunt of a 17-year-old boy who showed up at a California gym shackled and terrified, claiming he had just fled his captors.

      BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Police in Tracy, Calif., say they've arrested the aunt of a 17-year-old boy who showed up at a local gym shackled and terrified, claiming he had just fled his captors.
      Caren Ramirez is the third suspect arrested in the alleged assault against the teen.
      A Tracy police spokesman says 43-year-old Ramirez was arrested Tuesday night after police received a tip she was in the San Francisco suburb of Berkeley. Tracy is about 60 miles west of San Francisco.
      Police had been looking for Ramirez after they arrested 30-year-old Kelly Layne Lau and 34-year-old Michael Schumacher earlier Tuesday.
      Lau and Schumacher are being held on bail of nearly $1.2 million each after being booked on suspicion of torture, kidnapping and child abuse.
