Locals quarantined in China expected to be released soon
The ordeal may soon be over for three local students and a businessman locked up in Beijing because of H1N1 fears. All are expected to be released soon.
Today, CBS 12 spoke to one of the three North Palm Beach Teens quarantined in a hotel in China. Elizabeth Doane says isolation from the rest of the world has not been easy. She says she and her brothers have to be careful not to over exert themselves. If their temperature goes even one-tenth above the normal body temperature, Doane says they would immediately be sent to the hospital. She and her brothers are expected to be released from quarantine Monday and continue on their trip through China, catching up with as much sight seeing as possible.
Meanwhile, the West Palm Beach businessman quarantined in China is expected to be back in our area Monday night. John Yeend traveled to China a week ago with friends when he started feeling sick. Two of his traveling buddies from our area are also quarantined as a precaution. John's wife says he should arrive back at Palm Beach International Airport on Monday night at about 11 p.m.
