Pet store owner stunned by python attack

It was one of those bizarre events that catches everyone's attention. A snake gets out of its cage and kills a toddler.
It happened this week north of Orlando.

Cathy Eiseman runs Bravo! Aquatics and Exotics, a pet store  in Royal Palm Beach.

She's shocked by what happened Wednesday, when an albino burmese python escaped from its cage and strangled a two-year old girl in central Florida.

Eiseman owns a burmese python just like the one that killed the toddler. Hers is 11 feet long, named Peaches.

She says the python she saw on TV that killed the child appeared to be very thin and underfed and she believes it would only go after a child because it wasn't fed adequately.

"A lot of my customers did call and came in and told me the same thing that they think the snake was underfed and not fed properly. For that size, it should've weighed, the weight should've been heavier. Totally preventable. That's what I feel like. It was totally preventable," Eiseman said.

Eiseman says burmese pythons are very docile creatures if they're fed properly and there's nothing to be afraid of.
