Albertson's closing eight Florida stores, four in Palm Beach County

The grocery chain Albertson's said today it will close a number of stores in South Florida.

The Idaho-based company will close four stores in Florida, four of those in Palm Beach County.

Albertsons says the stores are just not making enough money to stay afloat.

Albertsons estimates that about 550 employees would be affected by the closings. It said it would try to find the workers jobs in nearby stores.

Here are the stores set to close:

Pembroke Pines, 8030 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33024

Boca Raton,  20409 State Road #7, Boca Raton, FL 33498

Delray Beach,  4801 Linton Blvd, Delray Beach, FL 33445

Oviedo, 80 West Mitchell Hammock Road, Oviedo, FL 32765

Melbourne, 2447-100 Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32935

Sanford, 300 West Lake Mary Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773

Royal Palm Beach, 12031 Southern Blvd, Loxahatchee, FL 33470

Lake Worth, 4624 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33463
