Police say a couple used their baby stroller to steal from a Jensen Beach Sears store.

Martin County Sheriffs deputies said they were called to the Sears on NW Federal highway after the Sears loss prevention officer saw a man and woman pushing their baby in a stroller and using the stroller to shoplift.

The officer said he witnessed the couple take clothes off the racks and stuff them in the bottom of the stroller. The couple then left the store but returned when loss prevention officers went after them.

The clothes were worth $246.96 and both Michael Jenkins Jr. and Valencia Christine Ivy were given notices to appear in court.
