2 SUVs crash into homes
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Two sport utility vehicles crashed
into Pinellas County homes in two separate incidents just hours
apart.
Police say the first crash occurred when a woman driving an SUV
through a St. Petersburg neighborhood Thursday night overshot a
three-way stop and slammed into a house. About three-quarters of
the SUV was buried in the front wall of the home. No one in the
house was hurt, but a passenger in the SUV received minor injuries.
The second crash occurred at the end of an early Friday morning
police chase in Clearwater. Authorities say three people in an SUV
were trying to avoid a traffic stop when the driver lost control
and ran into a house. The driver and both passengers were taken to
a hospital.
