Teen boys arrested for Jensen Beach car break-in's

Detectives with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two 16 year-olds in connection with several car burglaries committed in the Jensen Park Estates subdivision in Jensen Beach.

Found on-foot at 2:00 a.m., dressed in black and carrying a back-pack, the boys have cooperated with Detectives during interviews and stated they were in the process of “car-hopping.”

The boys led Detectives to at least nine homes in Jensen Park Estates, the same area where they live. Items recovered include: stereo faceplates, knives, cellular phone chargers, weather receiver, 9mm magazine with ammunition, GPS unit, depth finder, boat radio and money

The boys have been charged with four counts of burglary but detectives say this is a continuing investigation. Detectives anticipate that the boys will be charged in connection with other burglaries committed in the area.  They were booked at the Martin County Jail and have been turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
