Woman found dead in canal identified

Detectives in Boca Raton have identified the woman found dead in a canal.  They say 48-year old Karen Fletcher was found in a canal near the Vinings Apartments on Town Bay Drive.  A resident reported her body and a dog running around.  Apparently the dog was running back and forth trying to draw attention to the woman.  The yellow lab mix is now at the Tri-County Humane Society where workers are looking for a home for the pooch.
