Woman's purse snatched in Boynton Beach Walgreen's parking lot
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A woman was walking to her car in a Walgreen's parking lot Sunday evening, shortly after 6 p.m., when a man snatched her purse and took off in a tan Mazda.
The woman was able to flag down an Ocean Ridge police officer at a nearby Wendy's. The officer attempted to stop the fleeing Mazda by drawing his duty weapon. But the Mazda drove toward him, causing him to jump out of the way.
A local all points bullitan was issued and a Delray Beach Police Officer spotted the car at the corner of Lake Ida Road & Swinton Boulevard.
The driver and his alleged purse-snatching passenger were finally taken into custody. The driver, Daniel Fink, 23 and his passenger, Derek A Lewis, 28 were arrested and later confessed to detectives.
Lewis had a MasterCard and a Florida drivers license belonging to the victim.
Neither the Walgreen's victim nor the Ocean Ridge Police Officer was injured.
Fink and Lewis were sent to county jail.
