Mother and son hit by car
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LAKE WORTH -- A mother and her son were rushed to the hospital Monday after being hit by a car. The accident happened at noon at the corner of Lake Avenue and Dixie Highway in Lake Worth. Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies on scene say, 63 year-old Winnifred Baugh, was heading north on Dixie Highway and for an unknown reason drove onto the sidewalk, hit two traffic signs, then hit two people. Waiting at that corner where Shena Wright and her nine year-old son, Terrell Caldwell. Both suffered severe injuries. The mother: broken bones and internal injuries, the little boy: severe head injuries. Witnesses shocked by what they saw. Mark Parrilla is the General Manager of Cyber Business Center. After the accident he tried to help, "I had to look away immediately because I thought maybe she was dead or something. I looked away and I said, "Is she moving? And they (witnesses) said, "Yes." No charges have been filed against the driver. Both mother and son who were hit are in critical condition at Delray Medical Center.
