Father and Daughter Reunite After More Than 20 Years

A West Palm Beach woman is reunited with her dad after more than 20 years of searching for him. So, it was a tear-filled reunion for Rachel Hoffman and her father, Brian Hoffman, Thursday at Palm Beach International Airport.

The two lost touch after Rachel went to live with her mom at age seven. Her mother has since been diagnosed with Lupus. As a result, Rachel says she needed a father more than ever, so she began searching for him online. Two decades later, she found him.

"Well, its like the happiest day of my life besides the day that my children were born," said Brian Hoffman. "That's the only other time I've been this happy and I mean, it's been a long time."  

Rachel Hoffman couldn't agree more. "Now I have that piece of my heart that I've been searching for for a very long time."

Hoffman's father and half brother will be in town for an entire week. They hope their story will encourage others searching for loved ones not to give up.
