West Palm Beach Police Captain Randy Maale has been handed a letter of termination. Maale was put on suspension last month after an internal affairs investigation found that he had a personal relationship with a female officer who served under him.
A local man has been sentenced to 23-years for his part in deadly armed robbery. As part of a deal with Palm Beach County prosecutors, Nelson Urbina pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, robbery and kidnapping.
Six employees of the Palm Beach County Juvenile Detention Center have been fired following the death of a teenage inmate. 18-year-old Eric Perez was found dead in his cell in July. Officials say the 6 violated policies and procedures.
